"The finishing touches are as important as the ones you start with..."
Scotia Bead
The small detailing profile is used to finish areas where a floor meets existing skirting board.
Sometimes, the original skirting board cannot or does not want to be removed.
As an oak floor always requires an expansion gap around the perimeter of the room, the scotia bead hides this well.
Quadrants
Similar to a scotia bead except its profile is convex instead of concaved.
This can either be provided in a matching oak colour or sometimes the customer requires a painted version to match the existing skiritng board.
Tee Pieces
These important profile are used as threshold strips normally in doorways.
It provides a matching piece of oak similar to the brass and silver bars used when carpets are used.
Reducing Strips
A reducing strip is commonly used to gradually allow our oak floors to flow onto another type of flooring ie carpet, laminate, or tiles.
