In June this year we were pleased to provide 3 very large, old looking, oak beams for the Centurion Club in St. Albans.
The beams were needed for the lounge and dining room in the fabulous new Club House of this prestigious golf club, which is just 35 minutes from London.
Staff that has worked at the worlds finest clubs runs the club. The contemporary and welcoming club building is set in beautiful landscaped grounds, with terrace views over the lake.
The latest restaurant from Michelin starred chefs, Chris and Jeff Galvin, is based in the Club: ‘Galvin@Centurion Club’. This exceptional dining experience is open to the public.
The beams we provided were substantial – the finished depth and height sizes being 240mm x 240mm. They were shaped and waxed in Antique to give an aged finish.
The three of them weighed over 50 stone, or a third of a tonne.
For our customers who live around, or visit the Hertfordshire area, the Club House is open to the public and certainly looks as though it is worth a visit.
